Lamperouge Takes Out Teng

Lucy Lamperouge opened the button to 5,000 and Benjamin Teng called in the small blind.

On the 10♠10♥7♠ flop, Lamperouge continued for 7,000 before Teng check-raised to 21,000 and Lamperouge called.

The turn brought the Q♥. Teng fired another barrel of 30,000 with 45,000. Lamperouge, as the slightly covering stack, went into the tank for over a minute before she slid her chips forward as an all-in and Teng called off his 75,000 stack.

Teng was live to a queen or a spade but did not find any help on the A♣ river as Lamperouge filled up to score the elimination.

Lyons Gets Value with Flopped Trips

A player opened to 7,500 from middle position and Columba Duffy called on the button. Pat Lyons came along in the small blind, as did the big blind.

On the 8♥8♣4♠ flop, Lyons led for 6,000 and only Duffy called.

The turn was the 2♠. Lyons sized up to 16,500 and Duffy snap-called.

On the K♠ river, Lyons fired a third time for 20,500 and Duffy did not take long before he put in the call. Lyons tabled 10♣8♠ for the small blind special as he dragged another pot.

A player opened to 8,000 from under the gun and Andres Zamudio called in the cutoff. The small blind then jammed for around 80,000. The under the gun player tank-folded before Zamudio snapped it off.

Zamudio had the dominating ace and further improved on the Q♣9♠5♠ flop with top pair and the nut flush draw. The board ran out Q♥10♣ as Zamudio scooped a sizeable pot.

This elimination has brought the tournament to its final four tables as just 35 remain with 17 making the money.
