Moore Doubles with Aces
A player from under the gun limped in, and once it folded to Jeremy Moore in middle position, he raised to 1,200. Then Matthew Doyle in the hijack three-bet to 3,700. It then folded to the small blind Donnie Phan who called, and the big blind and under the gun player both folded. Moore elected to then four-bet all in for his stack of 35,800, which Doyle quickly called, and Phan folded to leave the players heads up, with Moore at risk.
Jeremy Moore: A♠A♦
Matthew Doyle: A♣Q♣
Moore was in a dream spot with his pocket aces, and the 3♦5♦7♣ flop left Doyle needing running cards to crack the aces of Moore. But the 7♥ on the turn left Doyle drawing dead, and after the K♦ on the river, Moore took the pot and the double up.
After the hand Phan reveled, he folded pocket threes and would have flopped a set.
