Limp-Jam Pays Off for Scott

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action folded to Thomas Scott in the hijack who limped in, before the player in the cutoff raised to 3,000. He was called by Trevor Jones on the button, and the big blind. Scott then three-bet all in, which got the cutoff to fold, Jones called for his stack of 15,500, and the big blind folded as well, leaving the players heads up, with Jones at risk.

Trevor Jones: 33 All in
Thomas Scott: AA

Scott limp jammed his pocket aces and was in a great spot for a knockout. When the board ran out 5107Q6 he did just that, his pocket aces were still best.

McKuin Counterfeits Davis to Triple Up

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Steven McKuin
Steven McKuin

Action folded to Steven McKuin in the hijack, and he raised all in for his stack of 5,800. The player in the cutoff made the call, as did Chanda Davis in the small blind.

The flop came K2J and Davis bet out 7,000, which got the small blind to quickly fold, leaving the players heads up, with McKuin at risk.

Steven McKuin: KQ All in
Chanda Davis: KJ

McKuin flopped top pair, but Davis flopped top two pair to give her the lead and put McKuin on the brink of elimination. However, the A on the turn gave McKuin more outs in the form of a Broadway straight draw, and another ace as counterfeit outs. The river brought the A which did counterfeit Davis's two pair, giving McKuin the best hand with aces and kings, with a queen kicker, to take the pot and triple up.
