Croes Gets There Twice to Double
Level 12
: Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
A player opened to 10,000 under the gun before Veronique Croes jammed for her remaining 50,500 from the big blind, and her opponent snapped it off.
Veronique Croes: A♠Q♣
Under the Gun: Q♥Q♦
Croes was in rough shape but held one overcard as the K♠4♠3♠ flop brought a sweat, giving her the nut flush draw.
However, it was the A♥ that landed on the turn to give her the lead, leaving her opponent drawing dead as the case queen was a spade. The 6♠ river added insult to injury, improving Croes to the nut flush as she collected the full double.
