Acker Calls Down Funari
Level 15
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
In a blind-on-blind battle, the flop read 7♠7♣4♥ as Christopher Funari led for 10,000 from small blind and Tim Acker called in the big blind.
On the 9♥ turn, Funari bet again for 25,000, and Acker stuck around with a call.
Funari fired a final shell for 50,000 on the 10♦ river. Acker went deep into the tank before he flicked in the call.
Christopher Funari: 8♣5♠
Tim Acker: A♣8♥
Funari was bluffing with a missed gutshot, and Acker made an incredible call with just ace-high to extend his chip lead.
