Al Mouselly Sets Up Pieterse
Level 11
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Max Pieterse opened under the gun and was called by Maher Al Mouselly on his left, as well as the big blind.
On the 8♣5♣2♠ flop, the big blind led for 4,000 before Pieterse raised to 14,000. Mouselly cold-called, and the big blind folded.
Pieterse slowed down with a check on the 7♠ turn before Al Mouselly bet 26,000. Pieterse then check-jammed for his roughly 60,000 stack, and Al Mouselly snapped it off as the covering stack.
Max Pieterse: A♠9♠
Maher Al Mouselly: 8♠8♦
Pieterse held the nut flush draw and a gutshot against the top set of Al Mouselly. The A♥ river was not enough to save Pieterse, and he was eliminated.
