Table 12 Chaos Sees Nia Out
Level 11
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
John Fagg's stack of 60,000 was all in on the 10♣9♦Q♣ flop, with Saeed Nia also all in for around 18,000 more. Richard Pearl covered both opponents, and the hands were turned up.
John Fagg: Q♥J♥
Saeed Nia: 10♠10♦
Richard Pearl: K♠K♦
Nia was in the lead after flopping a set of tens, and the 7♠ turn did nothing to change that. The dealer completed the board with the K♣ river, seeing Pearl spike a better set while Fagg made a straight.
That left Fagg surviving with a triple-up, while Pearl took the side pot to knock Nia out. Pearl's remaining short stack did not last long, as the remaining players broke to two tables.
