Ciabaton Hero-Calls for the Double
Level 5
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
With two players seeing a completed board of 8♦K♦A♣Q♦4♦ and around 30,000 in the middle, Dayanna Ciabaton bet 3,000 from early position, and a player in the hijack moved all-in, covering Ciabaton who had around 35,000 behind. Ciabaton briefly went into the tank.
"Did I induce that?" Ciabaton asked her opponent, who offered no reply. Soon after, another player at the table called the clock. With just a couple of seconds remaining before her hand would be declared dead, Ciabaton called, putting her tournament life at risk.
The player in the hijack could only show Q♠J♥ for third pair, turned into a bluff. Ciabaton tabled A♠4♠ for two pair to secure a full double up, while her opponent was left short-stacked and busted soon after.
