Final Opening Flights On Tap in RGPS Passport Austin Main Event
The number of entrants keeps growing as 470 total entries have led to 58 players advancing thus far through three opening flights. RunGood Poker Series Passport Austin will embark on Day 1de of the $600 Main Event at The Lodge Card Club to decide the final batch of players who will advance to Day 2 and compete for the first-ever RGPS Austin Main Event title.
Day 1b hosted a total of 162 entries, which entitled 20 players to advance to Day 2. Day 1c had the highest turnout yet with 190 entries as 23 players bagged for Sunday. Two more opening flights remain on Saturday to decide the final batch of players that will return on Sunday for a chance at a piece of the $250,000 guarantee.

Day 1b saw David Kim be the first to cross the seven-figure chip mark when he bagged 1,060,000. Following behind was Terrance Reid, who led Day 1c with a stack of 923,000. Doug Smith (890,000), Jackson Morisey (803,000), and John Montgomery (717,000) also had a strong Day 1c in a flight that has thus far produced four of the five biggest stacks to secure their spot on Day 2.

Levels 1-15 are scheduled for 30 minutes, with the blind levels increasing to 40 minutes after Level 16. There will be a fifteen-minute break after every three levels of play. Players will start the tournament with 40,000 in chips as they pursue the first-ever RGPS Austin main event title.
Late entries will be permitted until the beginning of Level 9, with 12% of the field allowed to advance from each Day 1 flight. All players who qualify for Day 2 will be in the money.
Players are entitled to bag multiple Day 1 flights. RGPS Passport Austin is also offering a $1,500 bonus per extra bag they accumulate for Day 2, with players taking the highest valued bag to Day 2, giving players an additional opportunity to cash.
