Bourassa Wins with Trips

Nick Becker

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

After an under-the-gun limp, Chris Bourassa raised to 1,200 in the hijack. The player in the big blind called, as did the under-the-gun player.

The flop came 3♠5♠Q♥ and it checked to Bourassa, who bet 1,600. Only the big blind continued to the Q♣ turn.

The big blind check-called a bet of 2,200 from Bourassa and the river landed the 2♠, where both players checked.

Bourassa tabled K♠Q♦ for trip queens, besting the Q♠4♣ of the big blind, who had an inferior kicker.
