Michael Sheets raised to 500 from under the gun, and Deborah Bauman defended her big blind to see the 8♠10♠5♠ flop. Bauman checked, making another call when Sheets continued for 500.
Both players checked through the 6♠ turn, and Bauman led out for 1,000 on the Q♦ river. Sheets took a moment before tossing out a raise to 3,500.
Bauman slid her cards into the muck, and Sheets showed K♠J♠ as he collected an early pot.
