Yoder Scores Massive Cooler to End Day 1a

Ryan Staats raised to 12,000 from the hijack, and Shane Stoe made the call on the button. Vernon Yoder came along in the small blind, as did Dan Gerard in the big blind.

Yoder and Gerard checked the A♣8♥J♥ flop, and Staats continued for 16,000. Stoe announced all in, and was quickly at risk when Yoder shoved on his left. Gerard got out of the way, and Staats stuck in the rest of his stack.

All three players connected with the flop, with Yoder in position to score the double knockout. Staats and Stoe both whiffed the 4♥ turn and Q♦ river, leaving Yoder's set of jacks ahead to take down the final pot of the night.
