Iriarte Doubles Through Fedunov
Level 7
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
A player limped in front of Daniil Fedunov before he raised to 3,000 from the cutoff. Nicholas Iriarte woke up with a hand and wanted to play for it all as he jammed for 14,800 from the big blind. The limper folded, but Fedunov made the call to put Iriarte at risk.
Nicholas Iriarte: A♦Q♦
Daniil Fedunov: 8♣8♠
Fedunov held the slight lead preflop, but the flop had other plans as it fanned out 5♣Q♣4♣ to give Iriarte the lead with a pair of queens. Fedunov still had plenty of outs as he had a flush draw after the flop.
The 10♥ turn, and the 9♦ river were the wrong suits for Fedunov as Iriarte dragged in the pot.
