Miranda Busts Hurley
Level 13
: Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
James Hurley open-jammed for 74,000 from the hijack and was called by Eduardo Miranda out of the big blind to put Hurley at risk for it all.
James Hurley: A♥10♣
Eduardo Miranda: A♠K♥
Miranda had Hurley in a world of hurt before the runout as he held the better ace.
The flop did not alter the standings when it came 5♥9♦5♦ to keep Miranda in the lead, but Hurley gained some hope with the opportunity to chop should the board pair the nine.
The 4♦ turn kept Miranda in the lead outright, but Hurley added some chop outs to his repertoire.
Miranda would gain the check mark when the 8♦ came on the river to eliminate Hurley from Day 1d.
