Platt Loses Race to Miranda
Level 14
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Eduardo Miranda opened to 13,000 from early position before Jeff Platt chose to go all-in for 73,000. Miranda asked for a count and gave it some thought before he made the call to put Platt at risk.
Jeff Platt: A♠K♦
Eduardo Miranda: 9♣9♥
Platt needed to improve as Miranda had the slight edge preflop with his pocket nines.
The flop gave Platt plenty of outs when it came 3♠J♠4♠ to give him a flush draw.
The 6♥ turn was of no use to Platt as Miranda was one card away from securing the pot.
Platt was unable to find his outs on the 6♣ river as Platt would bust deep into Day 1d.
