Stephen Sprague got it going with a raise to 3,400 from under the gun. Nero Chualong called out of the middle position, while David Lin joined with a call on the button. Tsolmon Jargalsaikhan wanted to thin the crowd as he went all-in for 27,400 from the small blind.
Sprague made the call to put Jargalsaikhan at risk, while Chualong and Lin folded as the remaining two players went to a showdown.

It was a classic race between the pocket pair and the overcards.
The flop was clean for Jargalsaikhan as it came 7♣8♦2♦ to keep Jargalsaikhan in the lead.
Jargalsaikhan held on the 2♠ turn and the 8♣ river to secure the double up as Sprague was left on fumes.
Sprague would get eliminated during the next hand as he was seen getting up from his seat and exiting the tournament area.

Adam Reeves got the bidding started with an open to 3,200 from under the gun. Joshua Morrow defended his big blind to create a heads-up pot.
Morrow checked the 10♣K♦4♠ flop, which led to a continuation bet of 3,500 from Reeves. Morrow stuck around with the call.
Both players knuckled the 10♠ turn to welcome the 2♥ river.
Morrow took the initiative with a bet of 10,000. Reeves did not think long before he folded as Morrow dragged in the chips.
Morrow showed Q♣10♥ for trip tens as he took in the pot.

John Duckworth opened to 3,000 from early position before Ariah Nead made the call on the button. Thomas Phillips chose to play for his whole stack as they shipped it for 19,300 from the small blind. Duckworth got out of the way with a fold, but Nead made the call to put Phillips at risk.

The flop gave each player something to root for as it came 4♣7♣3♦ to give Phillips a flush draw. Nead stayed in the lead, but also gained a gutshot straight draw.
Nead hit his set on the turn, but it was not the suit he would have wanted when the 6♣ peeled to give Nead a set and Phillips a flush.
Phillips was rooting for the board not to pair, and the river complied when it came the 9♣ to give Phillips the double to avoid elimination.

Seng Yang limped from the hijack before Jedidiah Hoffman raised to 4,000 from the cutoff. Jeffrey Cho wanted more chips in the pot and chose to three-bet all-in for approximately 35,000. Yang folded, but Hoffman wasted no time making the call as he was at risk for 14,300 total.

Hoffman had a dominant lead to start, but the flop turned that upside down when it came 4♥6♥J♥ to give Cho a set of jacks. Hoffman was far from drawing dead as he held the only heart for a live flush draw.
The turn was a red card, but the wrong suit when it came to the 8♦ to keep Cho in the lead.
Hoffman's ace of hearts would prove his savior when the 10♥ peeled on the river to improve Hoffman to a flush and grant him the double-up.

Anthony Banuelos made it 2,000 from the hijack before Chris Nelson made the call on the button. Babe Prescott called out of the small blind, but Frederic Soria raised the price of admission to 6,000 from the big blind. Banuelos and Nelson folded. Prescott was not in the mood to fold as she put her chips in for 9,400 total.
"It's bad. It's really bad," said Prescott as she went to a showdown.

Soria had the best of it preflop, as Prescott only had one overcard as an immediate out as they went to a runout.
The flop kept Soria in the lead when it came A♦4♣A♠.
Prescott found her card when the 8♠ turn hit to give her a commanding lead with one card to go with her pair of eights.
The 9♥ completed the board as Prescott secured the double-up.
