Anderson Gets Paid
Level 3
: Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Action picked up on the turn with a sizable pot brewing between Tekk Lai in early position and Ryan Anderson in the big blind.
With about 25,000 in the middle and the board reading 10♠6♥8♠K♣, Anderson moved all in to put Lai at risk who had roughly 20,000 behind. After taking a moment to think through his decision, Lai made the call.
Tekk Lai: 10♣9♣
Ryan Anderson: J♠J♥
Lai was behind but still had outs with a ten, nine, or a seven to stay alive. The 8♣ river offered no help and Lai was sent to the rail, where he opted to rebuy for a fresh 30,000 starting stack.
