Elwood Gets Some Value
Level 10
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
The under-the-gun player raised to 5,000 and Kevin Elwood flatted in the small blind.
The flop came A♦7♣Q♠ and both players checked to the J♥ turn where Elwood led out for 2,000. Under the gun called.
On the 3♣ river, Elwood put out another small bet, this time for 3,000. Under the gun reluctantly made the call and saw the bad news that his pocket nines could not beat Elwood's K♦J♦.
