Right next to Griffith, the towering stack of Jose Mendoza stood out, and Griffith told PokerNews, "I gifted him those chips," shortly after the hand.

A player raised to 6,000 from early position, and Ben Beegle called in middle positon. Cash Carpenter called in the cutoff, and the button three-bet shoved for 16,000. The early-position player, Beegle and Carpenter all called.

On the flop, the early-position player bet 25,000, and Beegle tank-folded. Carpenter shoved for 54,000, and the early-position player called.

Carpenter's set of deuces held a commanding lead, and he improved to a full house on the turn to officially eliminate the button. The early-position player could still win if another six or jack fell on the river, but the harmless fell instead, sending the biggest pot of the day so far over to Carpenter.
