The reigning GPI Mid-Major Poker Tour of the year made their East Coast debut this week, as the RunGood Poker Series has been hosting a tournament series at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek all week long as part of their Comeback Tour powered by PokerGo. The biggest event on the docket, Event #4: $600 Main Event, which boasts a $50,000 guarantee, kicks off today with Day 1a beginning at 10 a.m. EST.

Players will begin with 20,000 in tournament chips, and blinds will begin at 100/100 and increase every thirty-minutes during Day 1 flights. Late registration and unlimited re-entry are available until the start of Level 9, or approximately 2:30 p.m. EST. Day 1 will conclude at the end of Level 14 or at the Tournament Director's discretion. All players that advance from today's Day 1a flight or tomorrow's Day 1b flight (which also kicks off at 10 a.m. EST) to Day 2 will return at 11 a.m. EST on Sunday, August 29th and play down to a winner. Players may bag and play a subsequent starting flight advancing their best stack forward to Day 2. The winner of the Main Event, along with the eventual Casino Champion, will earn seats into the All-Stars ProAm event, a 64-player capped event in December streamed from inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As usual at RunGood Poker Series events, a lively crew of players are expected on site to fire this weekend, including former Survivor: Redemption Island champ "Boston" Rob Mariano, RecPoker Founder Steve Fredlund, Florida pro and six-time WSOP Circuit Ring winner John Holley, and former Director of Poker Operations for Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa Tommy Bates, among others.

PokerNews will be on site all weekend long providing updates from start to finish on all three days of the Main Event, so be sure to stay tuned, as cards will be in the air shortly!

Olivier Turns Up Some Value

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Kyle Lazzaro raised to 300 on the button, and Steve Olivier three-bet to 900 from the small blind. Lazzaro called.

Olivier checked the {2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop to Lazzaro, who bet 600. Olivier called.

Both players checked the {q-Hearts} turn, and Lazzaro flicked out a single 1k chip on the {7-Clubs} river. Olivier called, showing {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}, but Lazzaro held the winner with {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} to earn the pot.

Wadlow Gets an Early Morning Double

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Michael Wadlow had just finished gathering up the remnants of a big double-up in the opening level, and Vito DiStefano was kind enough to share details of Wadlow's good fortune.

With a pot of 6,000 already built up and a {10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board on the felt, Wadlow checked from the small blind, and his opponent in the cutoff bet 5,200. Wadlow jammed for 14,800 and the cutoff called.

Michael Wadlow: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Wadlow's overpair held against the top-top of his opponent when a harmless {j-Hearts} plunked off on the river, and Wadlow doubled up before the end of the opening level.

While our live updates this weekend are focused on the $600 Main Event, this tournament is actually the culmination of a week's worth of tournaments.

It all started earlier in the week with Event #1: $250 Super Stack NLH (Re-Entry), a tournament that easily surpassed its $25,000 guarantee as 376 runners generated a $77,080 prize pool. The top 49 players got paid a minimum of $366 and some of those walking away with a cash were Joe Duchman (10th - $1,341), Isolda White (20th - $771), and Scott Baumstein (26th - $540), just to name a few.

After Mark Cannon exited in third place for $7,194, the final two players ended the tournament with an even chop. Lisa Teebagy finished as runner-up while David Alberston, who had the chip lead, claimed the title and RGPS championship ring.
