A series of preliminary events have been taking place in the Horseshoe Council Bluffs poker room leading up to this weekend's $575 Main Event, and PokerNews is sharing brief recaps of the week's action.

The RunGood Poker Series saw a grand turnout for their signature $135 Guest Bounty Opening Night Ring event, as 261 entrants turned out to take their shot at a number of guest bounties, including Horseshoe Director Rob Brown, the poker room manager Brian Mathiessen, REC Poker's Steve Fredlund, RunGood Pros Emily Larson, Daniel Lowery, Grant Hinkle, Ross Bybee, as well as CEO Tana Karn and VP of Media Hayley Hochstetler.

When the tournament reached the final five, a deal was brokered between the remaining players that saw Jacob Jobman claim victory, good for $3,376, an All-Stars Ring, and 25 Casino Championship Points, putting him in early contention for the title of Horseshoe Council Bluffs Casino Champion.
