Knapp Gets There On The River To Stay Alive

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Aaron Knapp
Aaron Knapp

When we got to the table, it was because Aaron Knapp was on his knees beside the table crying and screaming "Thank you! Thank you Poker Gods!!!"

Aaron Knapp had lost a massive pot two hands prior and was down to a single 5,000 chip. After winning the ante and tripling up, Knapp started this hand with 35,000.

Mark Kogan: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Lance Winsatt: {x-}{x-}

Aaron Knapp: {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The board read {8-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Spades} before the river came out.

The card that sent Knapp to the ground was the {10-Hearts}.

Immediately another player at the table told Knapp they had folded pocket tens to the aggressive action.

Knapp is now sitting with 195000 after this hand and rumor has it, he immediately doubled again the next hand.

Tang Puts O'dwyer To The Test

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Jason Tang
Jason Tang

Four players were all in the hand for a single big blind with the flop face up.

Flop: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

After a full round of checks, the dealer revealed the turn.

Turn: {a-Spades}

Another round of checks came and the river was face up.

River: {j-Diamonds}

Three players checked it to Stephen O'Dwyer in late position. Rather than checking, O'Dwyer carefully counted out 8 gray 5,000 chips and pushed them forward for a bet of 40,000. Jason Tang in the small blind position snap called as the other two players mucked.

O'Dwyer shook his head and aggressively threw his cards into the muck face down after the call. Tang was able to win the hand without showing his hand.

Tang joked with Joe Stapleton on his direct left, "I had quads obviously. No, I had pocket jokers for five aces."
