Blumstein Knocked Out Of By Coomer

Scott Blumstein
Scott Blumstein

When we arrived at the table, we found 2017 WSOP Main Event Winner Scott Blumstein all-in with a call from Shawn Coomer. After the blinds tossed their cards in, the cards were placed face up. Once Blumstein's cards were up, a visible sign of relief came from Coomer.

Blumstein: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Coomer: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The board read {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Blumstein loudly started asking the dealer to please put a 3 on the river. Unfortunately the {9-Hearts} only strengthened Coomer and put the nail in Blumstein's chip stack. Blumstein didn't immediately return to the registration desk so we may see him late reg or wait and join us for tonight's Flight 1c.

Gonzalez Sees Through Johnson's Bluff

Francisco Gonzalez
Francisco Gonzalez

After calls from Miguel Delasierra and Francisco Gonzalez in middle and late position, both Kyle Miholich and Preston Johnson got into the pot from the blinds and we were four-way to the flop.

Flop: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Spades}

All four players in the hand checked when the action was on them and the turn was revealed.

Turn: {4-Diamonds}

Miholich checked and Johnson put out a bet of 1,200. Delasierra made the fold while Gonzalez pushed forward calling chips and Miholich toss his cards away.

River: {k-Hearts}

Johnson pushed out a bet of 3,200 and got a quick call from Gonzalez.

Johnson: {5-Spades}{9-Spades}

Gonzalez: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

It appeared that Gonzalez correctly put Johnson on a flush draw and made the call when the flush didn't complete.

Leonis Continues To Run Good at Jamul Casino With A Massive Triple Up

Ryan Leonis
Ryan Leonis

Ryan Leonis is currently holding the top place in the hunt for the Casino Championship title after placing 1st in the $185 RG Deepstack Event for over $11,000. When we ran back to the table featured in our last update, the action was complete and three players were all-in with Francisco Gonzalez covering the two players at risk.

Kyle Miholich: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Ryan Leonis: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Francisco Gonzalez: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Flop: {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Miholich was looking to hold with his pair but the turn put him at risk.

Turn: {k-Spades}

Now Gonzalez was in the lead with his pair of Kings with the Ace kicker. The lead would shift one more time with the final card face up on the felt.

River: {10-Hearts}

Leonis found the same magic that propelled him to win Event 2 with the 10 completing the gut-shot straight draw.

Ryan Leonis is currently holding the top place in the hunt for the Casino Championship title after placing 1st in the $185 RG Deepstack Event for over $11,000. If Leonis is able to bag chips and run deep in Day 2, he may be able to lock up the Casino Championship title and the $550 seat to the RGPS All Stars Pro-am, set to take place from the PokerGO Studios in Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2021.

Faudoa Finds A Pot With Pocket Fours

Robert Faudoa
Robert Faudoa

Just before Level 9 came to a close, we were able to capture a hand at table 2 featuring Nova Baghdasarian and Robert Faudoa. When we made it to the table there was already a ton of action as nearly 15,000 was in the middle and we were heads up. Baghdasarian was playing from the small blind position and Faudoa was playing from middle position.

Flop: {3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Baghdasarian didn't hesitate to put chips into the pot with Faudoa yet to act. Three yellow 1k chips were counted out and pushed forward. Faudoa quickly called and we were off to the turn.

Turn: {j-Clubs}

Both players checked and the river was the {j-Diamonds}.

Another round of checks and before the dealer had to force Baghdasarian to show his cards first, Faudoa turned over his cards.

Faudoa: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Baghdasarian stared at the board and Faudoa's cards for an extended moment before throwing his cards to the middle.
