Bounty Hunters Wanted for SCOOP Event #10-H: $1,050 NLHE

SCOOP2020
SCOOP2020

The third day of the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) promises plenty of action at the virtual tables and another Progressive Knockout tournament is part of the schedule. Similar to Event #02-H: $2,100 NLHE, which came to a conclusion late yesterday, Event #10-H: $1,050 NLHE will certainly attract some of the biggest names of the offline and online poker world to battle for yet another SCOOP title.

From each buy-in, $500 will be added to the bounty prize pool while the second $500 are up for grabs in the cash prize pool. A progressive bounty of at least $250 will be awarded of each player eliminated and those bounty targets will rise significantly throughout the tournament, which comes with a guaranteed prize pool of $750,000.

Each player starts with 100,000 in chips, the equivalent of 200 big blinds for the first level which kicks off at 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) with commencing blinds of 250-500 and a running ante of 60. The late registration remains open for 4h25 and during that time frame, players can fire up to two re-entries if needed.

Day 1 will concluded after 8h30 of play and then continue the following day as of 1 p.m. EST when yet another SCOOP champion will be crowned. For the entire duration of the tournament, each level will last 20 minutes and for each three levels, participants will receive an additional 10 seconds on top of their 60-second time bank.

Stay tuned right here on PokerNews for conclusive updates of the bounty action from start-to-finish.

PokerStars Ambassadors In Action

Level 1 : 250/500, 60 ante
Lex Veldhuis
Lex Veldhuis

Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis opened to 1,300 and called a three-bet to 5,000 by "SeT4x4" on the button to see a flop of {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop, on which Veldhuis check-called a bet of 3,500. He also checked the {q-Hearts} turn and then faced a bet worth 5,670, which he check-raised to 17,500.

"SeT4x4" called and the {8-Hearts} river paired the board for the second time. Veldhuis now bet 24,500 and forced a fold.

Fintan "easywithaces" Hand quickly lost 10% of his stack but then got most of the chips back when his baby flush with {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} earned the pot on a four-card diamond board.

Also in action early on is Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas.

"VladTheSlaye" Chips Up; Astedt Loses a Bullet

Level 3 : 400/800, 100 ante
VladTheSlaye chips up
VladTheSlaye chips up

On a three-way flop of {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} it was "VladTheSlaye" that bet 2,400 and he was called twice including under-the-gun raiser Christopher "lissi stinkt" Frank and "EO88881" in the big blind.

After the {q-Spades} turn, only "EO88881" check-called a bet of 10,400 by "VladTheSlaye" and then checked the {q-Hearts} river. "EO88881" tabled {a-Spades}{7-Spades} for the busted nutflushdraw and "VladTheSlaye" had that beat with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for two pair.

In the early morning hours, Ukraine's "VladTheSlaye" finished third in the SCOOP-02-M: $215 NLHE 8-Max PKO Mini Thursday Thrill SE and is off to a good start once more.

At almost the same time and on another table, Niklas "Lena900" Astedt lost one of his bullets for the tournament when he had a classic flip. The {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} of Astedt met with the {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} of "MB TREMENDO" and the board came up blank for the Swede.

Wakeman Rising

Level 11 : 1,750/3,500, 450 ante

Matthew "mjw006" Wakeman opened to 6,660 from under the gun just before the blinds were to go up and he was called by "Körrinho" on the button and "Cp6uja007" in the big blind.

On a {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop, "Cp6uja007" check-raised from 12,676 to 38,458 and Wakeman jammed to force out cold-caller "Körrinho" while "Cp6uja007" called all-in or a few big blinds less.

Wakeman had flopped bottom set against bottom two pair and earned the bounty thanks to two blanks on turn and river.

SHIR-1968 Scoops Massive Pot

Level 15 : 3,500/7,000, 875 ante

The possibly largest pot of the tournament to date has just taken place and former big stack "largomen1" made a move that cost him nearly all of his chips before bowing out to "etxnl01" in the next hand.

What had happened? "SHIR-1968" opened to 12,000 and he three-bet to hefty 48,000 from one seat over, which "SHIR-1968" called. On the {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, "SHIR-1968" check-called a bet of 66,000 with 242,860 behind and they checked the {q-Diamonds} turn. After the {10-Hearts} river, "SHIR-1968" check-called the shove with ace-king high and was good!

Veldhuis Flushed Away By "Sasuke234"

Level 15 : 3,500/7,000, 875 ante

As decent as the start into the tournament has been, as frustrating the last hour must have been for PokerStars ambassador Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis and the final hand was painful. Online legend "Sasuke234" opened to 15,750 and was called by Rui "RuiNF" Neves from one seat over.

What followed was the shove for 101,097 by Veldhuis in the cutoff and "Sasuke234" isolated to force out Neves.

Veldhuis was ahead with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} versus {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} but the {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop provided far more outs for "Sasuke234". The {j-Clubs} on the turn took a few of the outs away but sure enough the {3-Hearts} peeled off on the river to eliminate the Dutchman.

"Freshmannn" Skyrockets Into the Lead

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

At the end of the previous level, "Freshmannn" raised to 21,000 and picked up three callers in "VICTOR TXR1" out of the cutoff, Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen on the button and "laurajayne1705" in the small blind.

After the {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop, "laurajayne1705", who had started the hand more than 100 big blinds deep, made it 52,000 to go. "Freshmannn" raised to 160,000 and that forced one fold. Odeen however called and "laurajayne1705" reraised to 268,000.

"Freshmannn" moved all in to fold out Odeen, but "laurajayne1705" called to create the largest pot of the tournament to date.

The Bubble Has Burst

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 2,500 ante
probirs bursts the bubble
probirs bursts the bubble

The cards were already gone but the table chat still available, which indicated that Andras "probirs" Nemeth had burst the bubble by sending the UK's "Carbutron0" to the rail with an ace-high straight versus aces and queens.

It took only moments for several other all-in showdowns to determine their outcome and nearly a dozen players had to settle for the min cash.

Among them was "DaniBoti" who bowed out in a three-way all-in with {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} versus Maksim "MAMOHT_T" Viktorovich's {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and the {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} of mandan1979 as can be seen below:

Nemeth From Chip Leader to the Rail in Spectacular Fashion

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 3,750 ante

Just a few minutes ago, Andras "probirs" Nemeth took over the lead and seemed poised to be the chip leader overnight. But it all came to a crashing end and the Hungarian highroller has been eliminated!

"mandan1979" opened to 50,000 and Nemeth three-bet to 200,000 on the button, which "mandan1979" called. On the {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop and {10-Diamonds} turn they both check and at that point, "mandan1979" still has nearly 1.3 million behind. They head to the {a-Diamonds} river and "mandan1979" check-called the shove of Nemeth who flipped over the {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} which "mandan1979" had beat with {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

That was a big pot already, however, Nemeth was still in the lead with 4.3 million. Until he clashed again with "mandan1979" ... .

"mandan1979" raised to 50,000 and Nemeth, now in the cutoff, three-bet to 175,000. "ivan limeira" jammed for 493,416 and "mandan1979" clicked it up to 925,000. The raising war ended with a shove by Nemeth and instant call of "mandan1979".

probirs loses a big pot
probirs loses a big pot

The next few hands on the table aren't as crazy and Nemeth lost some chips, won some back and had 1.2 million behind.

"bukharkov777" made it 53,000 to go from the cutoff and Nemeth came along out of the big blind. They headed to the {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop on which Nemeth check-raised from 47,750 to 128,023. He could not force a fold, instead "bukharkov777" came along and faced a bet of 201,898 on the {10-Spades} turn. bukharkov777 raised to 575,000 and Nemeth tossed in calling chips to leave himself with half a million chips behind.

The {a-Spades} fell on the river and a shove by Nemeth with {9-Spades}{4-Spades} ran into the stone-cold nuts, as "bukharkov777" had rivered the royal flush with {q-Spades}{j-Spades}.
