Ferreira Eliminated in Ice-Cold Fashion

Level 6 : 700/1,400, 175 ante
"slayerv1fan"
"slayerv1fan"

"slayerv1fan" had called an early-position raise from middle position to put action onto Rui “RuiNF” Ferreira, who was in the hijack and three-bet to 12,600. Action folded back to "slayerv1fan" and a call was made, taking action heads up to the flop {8-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}. Both players checked.

The turn came {10-Clubs} and "slayerv1fan" checked. Ferreira bet 10,500 and "slayerv1fan" called, bringing the river {2-Clubs}. "slayerv1fan" checked and Ferreira bet 39,600. "slayerv1fan" check-raised all in effectively for Ferreira's remaining 49,600. Ferreira went into the tank and eventually found a call.

Rui “RuiNF” Ferreira: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
"slayerv1fan": {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Ferrerira's second nuts had run into the nuts, leaving him with the second-best hand and no further chips with which to play. The pot was shipped to "slayerv1fan," who is now just under a quarter-million in chips.

Greenwood Gets Stacks Into the Middle

Level 6 : 700/1,400, 175 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

On the last hand of the previous level, Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood opened to 2,640 in early position and action made its way around to "aabas" in the small blind, who three-bet to 11,280. Greenwood called and the flop fell {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}. "aabas" made a continuation-bet of 10,000 and Greenwood called.

The turn came {8-Hearts} and "aabas" checked. Greenwood took the initiative, firing 26,400. "aabas" made the call, bringing the river {4-Diamonds}. "aabas" checked and Greenwood went all in for effectively just under 88,000. "aabas" activated their time bank and went deep into the tank, ultimately choosing to make the call.

"aabas": {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

Unfortunately for "aabas," their pocket aces fell victim to Greenwood's flopped set, which improved to a full house when all was said and done. Greenwood finds himself just shy of three starting stacks after the pot was shipped his way.

Schemion Finds a Favorable Runout

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 150 ante

"chininhaltig" went all in for their last 23,625 in middle position and action folded around to Ole "wizowizo" Schemion, who was in the small blind and called.

"chininhaltig": {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Ole "wizowizo" Schemion: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The flop {5-Spades}{k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} was exactly the opposite of what Schemion wanted to see but the turn {j-Diamonds} reversed his fortunes immediately thereafter, giving him a full house and leaving him in need of fading the remaining king and three aces on the river to earn the knockout. He would do just that as the final card fell {10-Spades} to complete the runout with his jacks full staying best to complete the runout, bringing him back over the starting stack in the process.

Margereson Sends a Shorty To the Showers; Talbot Over a Quarter-Million

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 150 ante
"Aggro Santos"
"Aggro Santos"

"kimokh" was in the small blind with 8,900 to start the hand and went all in upon action folding around. Scott "Aggro Santos" Margereson immediately called in the big blind.

"kimokh": {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Scott "Aggro Santos" Margereson: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Margereson hit a nine on the flop {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{q-Spades} to pull even further ahead but found a small sweat on the turn {4-Clubs}. However, the river {7-Diamonds} was clean and his pair of nines remained best, leaving his opponent with zero chips as the pot was shipped his way.proc

Also on Margereson's table are Guillaume "Nolet20" Nolet and Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot, with Talbot off to a fast start having already chipped up to over a quarter-million.

Early Eliminations

Level 4 : 500/1,000, 125 ante

Over two dozen players have been eliminated as the tournament lobby now displays 372 players remaining out of 400 entrants. Here are some of the players who have already hit the rail.

Feenstra Makes the Nuts; Scores a Knockout

Level 4 : 500/1,000, 125 ante
Rens Feenstra
Rens Feenstra

"lipe piv" opened the action with a raise to 2,500 in the cutoff and received a call from Rens "Rens02" Feenstra, who was on the button. Action went heads up to a flop of {7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The turn came {5-Spades} and "lipe piv" made an overbet of 10,000. Feenstra thought for a while, activating his time bank before making the call. The river was {8-Diamonds} and "lipe piv" activated their time bank before beting 8,840.

Feenstra once more went into the tank and proceeded to raise all in, putting "lipe piv" to a decision for their remaining 41,000 and change. A time bank was activated for the fourth time in the hand and "lipe piv" eventually made the call.

"lipe piv": {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Rens "Rens02" Feenstra: {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Feenstra's rivered nut flush reigned superior to his opponent's queens up and he scored the knockout, bringing his stack over 200,000 as a result.

Jacks Up Good for Kostritsyn

Level 4 : 500/1,000, 125 ante
"joiso"
"joiso"

Alexander "joiso" Kostritsyn raised it up to 2,000 in early position and was three-bet to 6,000 by "ricer19," who was on the button. Kostritsyn made the call and the flop came {3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Both players checked.

The turn was {10-Clubs} and Kostritsyn bet 4,800. "ricer19" raised to 12,000 and Kostritsyn called. The river fell {6-Clubs} and action went check-check to take the hand to showdown.

Kostritsyn showed {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} and "ricer19" mucked, resulting in the pot being shipped to Kostritsyn who now finds himself with over 180,000 early in Level 4.
