Back and Forth in Three-Handed Play

Level 28 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Sergei "Futti18" Koliakov raised the button to 339,200 and found a customer in Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves in the big blind. On a {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop both checked and Reeves check-called a delayed continuation bet on the {4-Spades} turn worth 368,280.

That was it for the betting action, however, and Reeves dragged in the pot with {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for tens and sevens.

Throughout the next half a dozen hands, Koliakov chipped back up with plenty of aggression and without any showdowns.

Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit then won a pot against Reeves after defending the big blind and check-calling a first bet of 271,104 on the {j-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop. The {5-Hearts} on the turn was checked and Kanit overbet the {7-Spades} river to win the pot.

Kanit Back in a Narrow Lead

Level 28 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

The remaining three players are suddenly all within one big blind and Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit has taken over a narrow lead after dragging in a healthy pot against Sergei "Futti18" Koliakov.

The usual button raise and big blind defend line saw Koliakov then check-raise the {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop from 326,416 to 852,832 and Kanit made the call. Koliakov fired the {4-Hearts} turn for 1,135,829 and Kanit came along.

No further betting action took place on the {a-Spades} river and Koliakov was first to show, revealing {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a missed open-ender. Kanit earned the pot with {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for a pair of kings.

Koliakov Doesn't Bluff Kanit

Level 28 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

The duel Sergei "Futti18" Koliakov in the big blind and Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit on the button duel went into yet another episode. Again, Koliakov check-raised the {q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, this time from 298,354 to 896,708, and Kanit called.

Koliakov fired once on the {6-Clubs} turn for 1,475,317 and then shut down on the {9-Hearts} river. His {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} was no good as Kanit had the best hand in {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

"why dont you bluff?" was the question by Kanit this time and Koliakov replied "I felt" just like Kanit had done previously.

Kanit Catches Reeves Bluffing

Level 28 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Sergei "Futti18" Koliakov won a three-bet pot against Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves when he fired a continuation bet on the {q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop to force a fold. The Russian also won a minor pot with {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} against the {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} of Reeves as the board came {j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}.

Reeves pulled some chips back with a successful three-bet, however, as three-handed play continued to plug along.

The Brit then lost a substantial pot to Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit when he raised the button for 353,600 and picked up a call by the Italian. Kanit check-called the {k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop for 432,072 and they checked the {10-Hearts} turn.

Kanit check-called the {k-Clubs} river for 1,283,508 and caught Reeves bluffing with {q-Spades}{3-Spades} as he pulled in the pot with {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for kings and eights.

Two in a Row for Reeves

Level 29 : 100,000/200,000, 25,000 ante

Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves raised it up to 442,000 and Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit came along out of the big blind. They checked through a {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop and kanit made it 427,730 to go on the {2-Clubs} turn, which Reeves called.

On the {5-Hearts} river, Kanit check-folded to a bet worth more than seven big blinds.

The very next hand it was Sergei "Futti18" Koliakov that raised the button to 424,000 and Reeves defended the big blind. The {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop was checked and Reeves bet the {7-Spades} turn for 327,360, Koliakov stuck around.

The {2-Hearts} fell on the river and Reeves swiftly check-called a bet of 402,653 by Koliakov to win the pot with {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of sevens, as Koliakov had missed a flush draw with the {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Kanit Leads The Way on Next Break

Level 29 : 100,000/200,000, 25,000 ante

Sergei "Futti18" Koliakov lost a couple small pots to see his short stack damaged further while Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves dragged in the last pot prior to a scheduled 5-minute break against Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit.

Koliakov limped the button, Kanit filled up and Reeves checked. They checked the {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop and {q-Clubs} turn, Kanit bet the {3-Clubs} river for 317,250 and Reeves raised it up to 1,299,375. Koliakov quickly dodged out of the way and Kanit used a portion of his time bank to come to the same conclusion.

Koliakov Bounces Back

Level 29 : 100,000/200,000, 25,000 ante

Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit" opened the action with a button raise to 424,000 and was called by Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves in the small blind, Sergei "Futti18" Koliakov also came along from the big blind. There was no betting action on the {j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop and {3-Clubs} turn. Reeves bet the {k-Clubs} river for 889,020 and Koliakov called to win the pot with {j-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a flush as Reeves had bluffed with the {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

Kanit raise-folded his small blind when he had invested 700,000 and was met by a three-bet of Reeves, who clicked it up to 1,910,000.

Reeves raised as much from his next small blind and Koliakov stuck around from the big blind. A first barrel of 472,000 by Reeves followed on the {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop and they checked the {q-Spades} turn. Reeves check-folded to a bet on the {9-Hearts} river and was nearly even in chips with Koliakov after the hand.

Ace-High Works for Kanit

Level 29 : 100,000/200,000, 25,000 ante

Sergei "Futti18" Koliakov earned some more pots as Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves dropped to "just" 35 big blinds. Koliakov then raised the button to 424,000 and Reeves made the call to see a {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop. The Brit checked and called a bet worth 347,820 to see the {3-Diamonds} turn, which resulted in no action.

Ultimately, it was an overbet by Reeves on the {5-Clubs} river that won the pot uncontested.

Half a dozen smaller pots followed and Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit then looked up Koliakov with an ace-high river call to restore his comfortable lead.

Koliakov limped the small blind and Kanit checked. Both checked through the {k-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop and Koliakov bet the {9-Diamonds} turn for 313,500 followed by another bet of 550,000 on the {10-Diamonds} river.

Once Kanit called, the Russian revealed {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Kanit won the pot with {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

Reeves dropped chips to Koliakov when his {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} ended up second-best to {8-Spades}{6-Spades} on a {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{q-Spades} board in a pot worth 2.5 million.
