This is it, the day has come, at 1 p.m. EST the tournament with the biggest buy-in of the PokerStars 2020 Spring Championship of Online Poker is set to kick off. Day 1 of the 52-H: $25,00 NLHE Super High Roller will offer players a chance of winning their share of the $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool if they pony up at least $25,000 as there are up to two reentries possible during the registration period.

This is the first time that this kind of buy-in is available during the SCOOP so there is no defending champion but the WCOOP has done it before. If we just look at 2019 and WCOOP-25-H: $25,000 NLHE it was Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov walking away with $527,458 when 90 entries were collected and 11 players got paid. Will he be back to try and do the double?

All the regular high stakes tournament players are expected to take a shot but maybe some of the fresh SCOOP winners will try their luck too. Players like Teun "tinnoemulder" Mulder, Artur "mararthur1" Martirosyan, Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit, Andrey "Anjeyyy" Novak, Ilya "Leqenden" Anatsky, Joao "Naza114" Vieira, Jorryt "TheCleaner11" van Hoof, Connor "blanconegro" Drinan have all won big prizes during this series and might have gotten a longing for more.

When players buy in, they will get 250,000 in their starting stack with 2 reentries possible during the first five hours and five minutes. Level duration will remain at 20 minutes until the start of Level 19 when duration will be increased to 30 minutes. The first level of the day will be played with a small blind of 1,200, big blind of 2,400, and a running ante of 300. The first day of this two-day event will end when the money stages have been reached. And Day 2 will restart at 1 p.m. EST on Tuesday, May 13.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be there to bring you all the high stakes action so brace yourself for all the updates coming to you right here.
