Dvoress More Than Quadruples

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Among those to bust recently was Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson and the Swede re-entered for his third and final bullet.

His raise to 16,160 was called by Daniel "Oxota" Dvoress, who was down to the last 7,565 and all-in. Out of the big blind, "lechuckpoker" also called and they headed to the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Spades} flop. Both active players checked to the {8-Diamonds} turn and "lechuckpoker" bet to force out Mattsson.

Dvoress tabled the {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} while "lechuckpoker" had flopped two pair with {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. The {q-Spades} on the river gave Dvoress a set to survive.

Double Ups for Nemeth and Karmatckii

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Andras "probirs" Nemeth three-bet jammed the small blind for 156,390 and was called by Joao "Naza114" Vieira in the hijack.

Andras "probirs" Nemeth: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Joao "Naza114" Vieira: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The board came {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Nemeth hit the king on the flop, then dodged the flushdraw and overcard.

The next raising war between Arsenii "josef_shvejk" Karmatckii and Juan "Malaka$tyle Pardo created a pot of more than 1.1 milion as the EPT Sochi Main Event champion had the best of it in showdown.

Arsenii "josef_shvejk" Karmatckii: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Nothing changed on a board of {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} to let Karmatckii double.

Two Double Ups, Two Barrels, One Bustout

Level 9 : 3,500/7,000, 875 ante

"uwintakeit" lost a chunk of his stack with {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} against the {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} of "compris" on a {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} board.

One hand later, Mike "SirWatts" Watts was at risk with {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and "BeezNeez360" could not get there with {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} on a board of {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

The third bigger pot on the same table went to Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford who took on Watson on the button and Rui "RuiNF" Ferreira" in the big blind. A second barrel on the {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} turn was enough to win the pot.

Watson then got it in with {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} against the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} of "xnrobix" and the {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} board provided no help for the Canadian.

Action Before the Break

Level 9 : Blinds 3,500/7,000, 875 ante

"uwintakeit" and "xnrobix" clashed prior to the break when all the chips went in after a Q97 flop and "uwintakeit" had the best of it with 77 versus AQ. The 5 turn and [h] river were a formality as "xnrobix" busted and re-entered into the same seat.

Arsenii "josef_shvejk" Karmatckii won a flip with QQ against the AK of Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo on a 6433Q runout to double while Pardo remained above a million in chips.

[Removed:575] had a kicker problem with A4 as Gustavo "22ehnutzz" Mastelotto's AJ held up on a 101089 board to eliminate the Dutchman for the second time. For Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois it came even worse as he was eliminated on his third and final entry.

"DON_CHICHO21" was reduced to a short stack after his QQ lost a flip to "kimokh" with the AK on a 873K3 runout.

Last but not least, Gary "quiditbear" Hasson rivered a straight with his 53 out of the big blind to boost his stack soon after entering the tournament.

Greenwood Doubles Vousden; Busts to Benitez

Level 8 : 3,000/6,000, 750 ante

Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden re-entered and almost immediately three-bet big to 43,200 on the button when facing a cutoff open by Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood. The Canadian came along an check-called three barrels on a {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} board including the river shove for 135,945 with the {a-Spades}{2-Spades} for top pair.

Vousden had {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for the far superior kicker and doubled.

Greenwood was down to 210,150 after the hand and got into a raising war with Francisco "Tomatee" Benitez to end up at risk.

Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Francisco "Tomatee" Benitez: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

The {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts} board brought no upset and Greenwood went from half a million in chips to out within two hands.

Ronnow and Astedt Depart

Level 8 : 3,000/6,000, 750 ante

Within four hands and three all-ins, the first chip millionaire of the tournament has emerged while Joao "Naza114" Vieira doubled through Simon "Igorkarkarof" Ronnow Pedersen, who was then knocked out.

Vieira flipped with {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} versus {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and the {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} board gave the Portuguese poker pro a straight.

Two hands later another flip took place in a far bigger pot as Charlie "Epiphany77" Carrel and Niklas "Lena900" Astedt clashed.

Niklas "Lena900" Astedt: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Charlie "Epiphany77" Carrel: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The pair held up once more on a {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades} board to send Astedt out.

One hand later, Ronnow Pedersen open-shoved for the last 16 big blinds with {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} in the cutoff and Carrel looked him up with {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}. The board came {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Carrel had the best of it once more.
