Drinan Raises on Later Streets Twice To Take the Chip Lead

Level 37 : 175,000/350,000, 0 ante
Connor Drinan
Connor Drinan

Hand #1: Connor "blanconegro" Drinan completed on the button and Jens "Jeans89" Kyllonen checked his option. The pair checked all the way to the river on a board of {2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Kyllonen bet 525,000.

Drinan went into his time bank and then put in a pot-sized raise of 2.275 million, getting a fold from Kyllonen to earn him the pot.

Hand #2: On the very next hand, Kyllonen raised the pot to 1.05 million on the button and Drinan defended his big blind. The flop was {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Drinan check-called a continuation-bet of 700,000 from Kyllonen.

The turn was {k-Clubs} and Drinan checked again. Kyllonen continued, making a second barrel of 1.75 million and Drinan put in a check-raise to 4.935 million.

Kyllonen thought for around 15 seconds and then let his hand go, resulting in Drinan taking down a second consecutive pot with a late-street raise. With the pot, Drinan has chipped up to 21.2 million and has now become the chip leader over Kyllonen, who has 18.49 million.
