It's a wrap for Day 1 of the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker -105-H: $5,200 NLHE [6-Max, Midweek Freeze High Roller]. A total of 96 entry slips were sold for this event creating a prize pool of $480,000 but the night left off with only 11 survivors.

"shuhpat" from Uzbekistan bagged the chip lead with a massive stack 7,665,305, almost one third of the total chips in play.
The Uzbekistani found himself near the top of the counts mid-day after eliminating Sergi "srxakgirona" Reixach and "Stefan11222" in a double knockout. He caught even more fire during the last levels of the night to take over the chip lead, and kept extending it from thereon. First, he took a big chunk from "FouEnculePL" who was second in chips when he rivered trips and managed to get paid well at Level 18 of the tournament, and shortly after, he won a massive pot when he turned a wheel against "Lackoo87gcb"'s aces and kings and managed to get full value to send him to the exit.

Other big names still in contention include Preben "prebz" Stokkan (2,003,019) who has already secured a SCOOP title this series after taking down the SCOOP 62-H: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO, High Roller], as well as Niklas "Lena900" Astedt (1,844,264), Simon "Igorkarkarof" Ronnow Pedersen (1,534, 171) and Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger (766,962).

Among the notables who tried and failed were Lucas "YRWTHMELTHR" Greenwood, Michael "Imluckbox" Addamo, Adrian "Amadi_017" Mateos, Linus "LLinusLLove" Loeliger, Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi and Rui "RuiNF" Ferreira.

The 11 remaining players are all guaranteed $13,847 but all eyes will be on the six-figure top prize of $114,704 and the title.

Action will resume tomorrow, on Thursday May 28th at 1:00 pm EST and play will continue at Level 19 which features a small blind of 17,500 and big blind of 35,000 with a 4,500 ante.
