The 2021 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) kicks off today with a huge bang.
PokerStars really went over the top this year with the SCOOP boasting an earth-shattering $100 million guaranteed across 102 events, each broken out between Low, Medium, and High on April 4-28 at PokerStars.
The festival kicks off today with a bang with seven events (21 tournaments) including the SCOOP-06-H: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller], $1M Gtd kicking off at 9:30 p.m. CEST (3:30 p.m. EDT).

This two-day event features a huge $1 million guarantee and will attract some of the biggest names in poker thanks to its $10,300 buy-in. Of course, players can qualify for this event at PokerStars for just a fraction of the cost via numerous satellites running throughout the day.
Players kick off the action with a monster stack of 100,000 with blinds starting at 250/500/60a and increasing slowly at every 15 minutes of play for the first 13 blind levels before increasing every 20 minutes the rest of the day. Those with deep enough pockets can opt to re-enter up to two times during the four-hour late registration period.
Day 1 will play down to a final table of nine players. The final table will then be played out on Monday, April 5 at 7:05 p.m. CEST (1:05 p.m. EDT) and be broadcasted on a 30-minute delay with hole cards exposed at the PokerStars Twitch channel.

Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois opened from middle position to 1,175 and was called by Mike "SirWatts" Watson from the button.
Both players checked the flop before Watson called a pot-sized bet of 3,520 on the turn.
Watson checked again on the river and Lefrancois over-bet the pot with a sizing of 15,840. Watson paused before he raised to 36,960. Lefrancois folded and Watson snagged some early chips.

Jason "jakoon1985" Koon opened for 1,340 from the button and was called by Pascal "Päffchen" Hartmann in the small blind.
Hartmann check-raised the [7dgsah] flop from 1,008 to 4,000 and was called. Koon check-called for 9,100 the turn and check-called a pot-sized bet of 29,800 on the river.
Hartmann turned over for a full house and won the hand after Koon mucked his cards.

Maksym "MAMOHT_T" Mamonov was the first casualty of the High Roller in a hand where both players had big slick against Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves.
The hand began with Reeves opening to 1,105 from under the gun and Vicent "gordon0410" Bosca called from one seat over. Mamonov three-bet to 5,500 from the hijack and Reeves four-bet to 14,000. Bosca folded and Mamonov called.
Reeves bet 7,569 on the flop and got a call. Reeves followed this up with a bet of 11,353 on the turn and was called again.
The completed the board on the river and Reeves checked. Mamonov jammed for 48,243 and Reeves called.
Mamonov turned over and lost his stack with Reeves holding the nuts with for a flush.
