Over 21,500 players entered the SCOOP-L Main Event, with fewer than 6,000 remaining. Players were allowed up to five re-entries in the tournament, with the prize pool broken with over 18 hours left of late registration!

First prize looks set to pay over $200,000, with overnight chip leader "manhhungctn" bagging over 22 starting stacks to lead the field.

Also bagging big? Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis who sits 162nd in chips with 261,285 in chips. The Dutchman is also still in contention in both the Medium and High buy-in Main Events — which one will he go deepest in?

All eyes were on the SCOOP Main Events last night, especially the $10,300 SCOOP-H Main Event where Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden bagged the chip lead. But sitting there in third place? Roman "RomeOpro" Romanovsky.

And he was a busy man on Sunday night, picking up his fifth SCOOP title and second of the year. Having already won SCOOP 65-L: $109 NLHE PKO Mini Thursday Thrill, he took down SCOOP 109-M: $320 Mystery Bounty. He took home over $60,000 in bounties and prize money after topping the 495-player field.

Also making deep runs in this event were Espen "Hymn2Ninkasi" Jorstad and Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen who both finished inside the top 25.

It wasn't just the NLHE Main Events that kicked off yesterday, with three Pot Limit Omaha Main Events also getting underway. Just 20 players remain in SCOOP 117-H: $5,200 PLO Main Event from a field of 91 and it's packed with some passive online poker stalwarts.

Leading the way is Andras "probirs" Nemeth, who has already won two SCOOP titles this year, including one in PLO. Also through to Day 2 are the likes of nine-time SCOOP champions Niklas "Lena900" Astedt and Ole "wizowizo" Schemion, as well as former SCOOP Main Event champion Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi.

Think you've got what it takes to swim with the sharks? Late registration is open until the start of Day 2!
