We've reached out first break of the day. See you back here in 10 minutes.

Close to the Guarantee

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

The magic number for today's number is 121. That's the number of players needed to meet the $200,000 guarantee for this event after 99 entries were tallied yesterday.

With the tournament board reading 110 and six more hours of registration open, that number seems safe.

Guercio Gets Pfeifer's Chips

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Randy Pfeifer
Randy Pfeifer

Randy Pfiefer was the fist player eliminated from today's event after being the victim of a cooler spot in the blinds.

Dave Grana opened from the button, Pfeifer three-bet from the small blind and Sam Guercio flatted from the big blind. Grana four-bet, and then Pfeifer moved all in. Guercio reshoved, and Grana paused for about 30 seconds before releasing.

Pfeifer: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Guercio: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}

Guercio's kings were best and the {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} board sent Pfeifer back to the cage to re-enter.
