MacKenzie Takes Chip Lead

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Thomas MacKenzie
Thomas MacKenzie

On the last hand before the 10-minute break, Thomas McKenzie bet 50,000 on a {K-Spades}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds} board and Chris Gras raised to 150,000. McKenzie went into the tank before calling with the {J-Spades}{9-Spades} for a flush. Gras showed the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}, and McKenzie took down a massive pot to grab the lead with 30 players remaining.

Chris Gras

Guiseppe Galluzzo and Chris Gras got into a raising war on the {5-Hearts}{9-Spades}{J-Hearts} flop that resulted in Galluzzo all in. He flipped over the {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and was drawing thin against the {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} of Gras.

The {7-Hearts} on the turn left Galluzzo drawing dead and he exited the tournament short of the money.

Miller Rebuilds, Then Crumbles

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

After losing all but 10,000 of his chips to Mandeep Chahal, Greg Miller built his stack back up to 55,000 before losing them all to Rick Block. Miller's pocket fours were crushed by Block's pocket fives and he couldn't find any help on the board to save him.

Gaddi Survives Again

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On a flop of {Q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, Salvator Incardona bet 25,000 and Scott Gaddi moved all in for around 65,000 total. Incardona called and was drawing.

Gaddi: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}
Incardona: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The {7-Diamonds} and {K-Clubs} completed the board, giving Gaddi another much-needed double.
