Joe Ciffa has been the talk of the 2014 Seneca Niagara Summer Slam series. On Saturday Ciffa won Event #2 outright for more than $10,000, and on Sunday he pocketed another $4,000 by chopping Event #3 three ways and going on to win his second trophy in as many days.
Doug Cloud added his name to the list of winners last night with his victory in Event #5 and there are still two more champions to come. Here's a look at the complete schedule for the 2014 Summer Slam.
The first five winners of the Seneca Niagara Summer Slam each received trophies to signify their accomplishment. But for the $600 Main Event, it's all about the belt.
Playing off the WWE's Summer Slam wrestling event that takes place every August, the Seneca Poker Room is giving away a championship belt to the winner of its own Summer Slam Main Event. The heavy-duty strap is sitting inside of a glass case here in the poker room and has caught the eye of many players.
DJ MacKinnon already has plans for the belt should he win the title on Sunday.
