Gaddi Busts Two

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

A lineup has developed at the payout cage as short stacks bust left and right in the money.

Two thanks to Christopher Gaddi, who called two short shoves with the {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} against {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, finding a three on the flop and another on the turn to felt both players.

O'Connor Leads After Fleecing [Removed:340]; Bubble Busts

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Geoff O'Connor
Geoff O'Connor

We picked up the action on a {2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop with Geoffrey O'Connor and David Wiles checking to Joseph [Removed:340].

[Removed:340] bet 20,000, O'Connor raised to 56,000 and after Wiles folded, [Removed:340] made the call. The turn came the {8-Diamonds} and O'Connor led for 60,000. [Removed:340] called and the river came the {6-Diamonds}. O'Conner led again for 77,000 and [Removed:340] called, mucking when O'Connor showed the {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

As he moved into the lead, the bubble popped with a player who did not want to be identified running queens into aces and failing to find a miracle.

With that the remaining field is in the money and on a 10-minute break.

Warren Hart

Warren Hart is playing in his first ever poker tournament.

The Orillia, ON, Canada resident plays cash at a local Casino, but jumped in this event on the advice of his wife.

Apparently it was a good idea, as Warren just doubled up with kings over jacks all in on a {9-}{9-}{7-} flop and has 240,000 now hand-for-hand on the money bubble.

Alex Rivera
Alex Rivera

Alex Rivera has found some footing here headed close to the bubble.

He called off his last 66,000 with jacks against nines and held. Then he had his own nines hold in a race against {a-}{q-} for a pot around the same size.

He's now sitting on a little over 200,000 with 56 players left and the 54-player money bubble about to pop.

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Chris Gras
Chris Gras

A wild ride for local cash specialist Chris Gras now sees him on 310,000 and among the leaders.

It started yesterday when he got down to just 4,300 in the late levels getting aces cracked. He quickly picked up aces again to double and found a way to come back and bag 77,000.

He started today doubling with tens over big slick, then used big slick himself to win a 280,000-chip flip against Yong Wolfer's jacks.

Gras is now deep, on a heater and a serious contender.

Ciffa Rides Rellinger Downswing

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Mike Rellinger
Mike Rellinger

Mike Rellinger appears to be headed in the wrong direction.

He made it 50,000 after a 20,000-chip Joe Ciffa bet on a {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop with about 50,000 in the middle already. Ciffa promptly pushed for 87,500 more and Rellinger found a fold, leaving him with about that much left.

The dangerous Ciffa now has 240,000 and climbing.
