In The Money

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The following players made the next pay jump, then busted, collecting $561:

Gras Leads!

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Chris Gras
Chris Gras

Chris Gras' incredible comeback story continues here, as he's now moved to the top of the counts.

After Scott Aitchison opened to 24,000 under the gun and got two callers, including Gras, Brian Bowen ripped it in for his last 16 big blinds from the big blind.

Only Gras called with two nines and was miles behind Bowen's two kings. Gras simply turned a nine and stacked the chips, sending Bowen to the rail and rising to the top of the leader board.

Ortiz Sunk; Three Tables Remain

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Louis Ortiz
Louis Ortiz

Scott Aitchison shoved over the top of a Rick Block open and a suddenly short Luis Ortiz called all in for less.

Block tank-folded and Aitchison was way ahead with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} against Ortiz' {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

Aitchison took the small pot down on an {8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} run out and with Ortiz out, just 30 remained, allowing the tournament staff to conduct a redraw for seats at the final three tables.

The Next Level

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The following players have busted in the money with each making the first pay jump and collecting $484:

Johnny On The Block

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Rick Block
Rick Block

Rick Block made it 17,000, Geoffrey O'Connor three-bet to 37,000 and Block shoved for close to 150,000 total.

Block's tournament life was riding on pocket jacks and they held against O'Connor's {a-}{q-} to give him the double and continue O'Connor's slide down the leader board.

Alba Makes Quads; Busts Two

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Peter Alba
Peter Alba

Peter Alba got in preflop three ways with the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}, having a player on the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and another on the {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} both covered.

The {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop gave the queens a set. The {j-Diamonds} turn made Alba trips , but the queens filled up.

In the end, the {j-Clubs} river came down, making Alba made quads, felting both the shorter stacks and pushing him over 400,000.
