Tight Is Right

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Joe Ciffa flopped top pair and went runner-runner to make the nut flush.

He bet it the whole way with Leo Kaplin calling. Kaplin lost more than 100,000 in the hand and as a result, things have tightened up at the top of the counts.

Findlay Bubbles

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Alan Findlay
Alan Findlay

Alan Findlay shoved the button for a little over 100,000 with the {k-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Guy Klass woke up with the {a-Spades}{k-Spades} in the big blind.

Klass called, and even though Findlay outflopped him, the {10-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{q-Clubs} board made Klass Broadway.

They're down to 27 and in the money now at the final three tables.

No Chop

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Josh Steven shoved 60,000 with the {a-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Lou Procopio called with the {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

No chop this time, as the board brought four hearts to send Steven home before the money. There are now 28 remaining and they are playing hand-for-hand on the bubble.

The Barber Bubbles The Bubble

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Andy Ranaletti
Andy Ranaletti

Mark Roberts is starting to climb back into the thick of things here after busting Andy Ranaletti.

Ranaletti had the misfortune of running two jacks into Roberts' two queens. A board of bricks didn't even give Ranaletti a glimmer of hope.

There's 29 now. One more elimination and they will play hand-for-hand on the stone bubble.

The Candy Man Can

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

[Removed:602] just picked off a Chris Meyers bluff to climb way up the counts.

Meyers had been building all day, but that construction job has just been halted. After [Removed:603] checked the river of a {4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} board, with 300,000 already in the pot, Meyers bet 145,000.

[Removed:603] snap-called and Meyers was forced to show the {5-Spades}{6-Spades}. [Removed:603] had the {k-Spades}{10-Hearts} straight.

One More For The Road

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Chris Licht got it in for his last 100,000-plus with a flush draw and one over against Ernie Guardarramas' two queens.

Licht missed and said goodbye as Guardarramas climbed the counts.

There's 31 left now, just four spots from the money as play tightens up.

August and Everything After

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Anne Jones
Anne Jones

Anne Jones started the day with just 95,000 in her stack. Now there's 450,000.

The stack started growing after she ran {k-}{10-} into {10-}{10-} and flopped three kings. Jones then cruised up the leaderboard without having to show too many hands.

Then, she busted a player with top two, getting in in with a massive combo draw and getting there. Jones now returns from the break as a contender.

In the meantime, Leo Kaplin has one million chips now, leading the 33 left by a lot with the money bubble fast approaching,
