Catching Up With The Blinds

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Level 14 saw some chips change hands, as reflected in the current leaderboard.

However, with such deep stack sizes, only a pair of players busted through the last 30 minutes. That means 30 of 32 players that entered the level, will leave it, heading into Level 15 now.

Being that this is a single-day event, the blinds will start to catch up at some point soon.

Fortune Favors The Bold

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Veerab Zakarian lost with two queens against two aces for heaps.

Blake Napierala then took his last 40,000 to move up to a spot among the leaders.

The 32 players remaining in this event are now off on a 30-minute dinner break.

Peter Raimondi remains the current chip leader.

Play will resume at approximately 6:30 p.m. local time.

Everybody Loves Raimondi

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Peter Raimondi has moved to the top of the counts here in Level 13.

Here's how the rest of the big stacks look heading towards a 30-minute dinner break at the end of this level:

'Buffalo' Ray Williams just doubled up again. This time he got it in with top two pair, aces and jacks, versus Art Demmerley's turned set of sixes.

Williams made top full house when a miracle ace came on the river and clapped his hands so hard he may have done permanent damage to neighbor Matt Shanahan's eardrum.

In the meantime, the legend of Andy Spears continues to grow as he registered in Level 8 and has ran it up to 300,000 already.

Overkill

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Cameron Bartolotta's convalescence continues as he's fast approaching the 400,000-chip mark.

His latest move up the leaderboard came when one opponent shoved 60,000 with a weak ace and he called with big slick.

Bartolotta flopped the unnecessary king and rode off into the sunset with his opponent's stack.

One Foot Out The Door

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

'Buffalo' Ray Williams bet 15,000 into a 20,000-chip pot heads up with Nick Walker on a {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop.

Walker fired back moving all in for more than the less-than 50,000 Williams had in total. Williams tank-called all in with the {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}, but ace-high was ahead versus Walker's {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flush draw.

The board finished up {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and although they both paired the ace, Williams' kicker played to vault him above starting and leave Walker with peanuts.
