The Seneca Summer Slam $200 NLH Rentry Event Continues Now!

Seneca Niagara
Seneca Niagara

The 2017 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam poker tournament series continues today with its $200 No-Limit Hold'em multiple-flight reentry event.

The third of four starting flights begins at 10 a.m. local time inside the Niagara Falls Poker Room at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. There is one more today set for 6 p.m. Each flight allows for registration and unlimited reentry through the first eight levels, which means players will be firing away early and often.

The goal: Make it through 14 levels of play or until just 12 percent of the field remains. The prize: A seat in Day 2 Sunday where the big money and Seneca Poker glory awaits.

Survivors will take whatever chips they manage to collect along the way with them. However, should they decide they want more, they can still reenter future flights and will carry the best stack forward.

Players will start with 15,000 in tournament chips and the levels are 30 minutes each. Another Day 2 perk is the jump to 40 minute levels, giving the players a little more wiggle room.

The first two flights Friday drew 219 entries with 31 players surviving. Mark Roberts is the current chip leader having bagged over 300,000.

Events like this create big prize pools at small price points and the 2017 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam version carries with it a $50,000 guarantee. They also create crowds, so that guarantee should be easily met as players fire away for a chance at a decent payday for a couple of hundred bucks.

It's all gravy now.

With the board hitting 91 entries on this flight, the $50,000 guarantee has been met. Now, with five more levels of registration and reentry and another flight to come this evening, it's just a matter of how big this thing can get.

In the meantime, Level 3 is about to end and it appears James Morin will take the lead into a 10-minute break, after making two straights and collecting what amounted to a double up out of them.

Cazenovia, NY's Brad Becker was on the right end of a massive four-way set up moments ago.

He flopped a set, another player flopped a flush, a third turned a straight, and a fourth came along for the ride with top two pair.

The board paired on the river making Becker a boat and by the time the dust settled, he had over 40,000 and the Level 4 chip lead.
