It's simple really. Win titles, make deep and memorable runs at Seneca Niagara on a regular basis, or run hot in a particular tournament series.

Love the game as much as a guy who buys into events he's already bagged in, like David Olshan, or grow a massive hipster ginger beard like Matt Marcinkiewicz, and your name will appear at the top of the chip counts right from the start of the next Main Event here.

Your photo might even appear in the blog.

For now, the players listed below get their names in lights and that's Marcinkiewicz' impressive facial hair growth in the file photo on the page.

Good luck to this crew and all others striving for a little time in the sun and a slice of Seneca Poker glory.

The $100,000 Guaranteed 2017 Seneca Niagara Summer Slam Main Event Starts Now!

After a week of crushing guarantees in the prelims, the Niagara Falls Poker Room inside the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino will look to do the same hosting the second of two starting flights for the $100,000 Guaranteed 2017 Seneca Niagara Summer Slam Main Event Saturday.

The first flight Friday drew 145 entries, putting the event well on it's way. On a blue bird day in the shadow of Niagara Falls, this one is expected be even bigger.

A 42-year-old Chiropractor from Rochester, NY won the 2016 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam Main Event, beating a field of 475 entries that created a $252,106 prize pool.

Russ Campanella returned to defend his title Friday and was one of 33 players pushing through to Day 2 Sunday.

Today, some of the best poker players from Western New York and beyond will look to join him there.

The $600 Summer Slam Main Event is always a big draw in Niagara Falls, and with registration and unlimited reentry available through the start of the eleventh level, there should be another massive field.

Players begin with 30,000 in chips and plans to play 15 40-minute levels or until 12 percent of the field remains.

There is a 45-minute dinner break at the end of Level 10, through which registration and reentry remains open.

It's a relatively deep structure, giving players plenty of wiggle room and the opportunity to stay patient. However, as Friday's first flight proved, there should still be plenty of action worth following from start to finish.

Play will begin at 11 a.m. local time and you are welcome to follow along right here on PokerNews.
