Wayne McCarthy Quadruples Up

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Wayne McCarthy was in middle position and raised to 5,000. He was called by the players in the cutoff, the button and the small blind. The player in the big blind looked down at her cards and said, "I wish" and folded.

The flop came {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and the small blind checked. McCarthy went all in for his remaining 5,800 and the cutoff and button both called. The small blind went into the tank and said, "I'm so tempted, but I fold."

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and both remaining players in the hand checked to the river. The river was the {k-Hearts} and both players checked again.

McCarthy tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for a pair of kings, getting there on the river. He asked, "Am I good?" Both of his opponents mucked their cards and he raked in the pot.

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Jeremy Felicetti was in early position and faced a three-bet to 5,000 from the player in the big blind. Felicetti thought about it for a moment and moved all in. His opponent snap-called, virtually beating him into the pot.

Felicetti tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and his opponent showed {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, sending the pot Felicetti's way and his opponent to the rail.

A player in middle position limped in, and the player in the cutoff raised to 1,600. Sharman Olshan was on the button and called, as did the player in middle position.

The flop came {J-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and the player in middle position checked. The cutoff bet 1,000 and Olshan quickly called. The middle-position player folded.

The turn was the {4-Hearts}. The cutoff checked and Olshan bet 1,500. Her opponent quickly called.

The river was the {J-Hearts}. The cutoff checked again, and Olshan reached into her stack, firing out a bet of 3,000. Her opponent quickly called again and she tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for the nut flush. Her opponent showed {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for two pair with an ace kicker, sending the pot her way.
