Sahar Khajavi Looks to Do One Better

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

In the opening event last night, Sahar Khajavi finished runner up to kick off this Warm-Up series after being eliminated by Dan Wagner. She looks to do one better by taking down today's tournament and is certainly on pace for a shot at accomplishing this.

A player in early position raised to 625 and Randy Pfeifer called from the cutoff. Khajavi was in the big blind and three-bet to 2,700. Both of her opponents decided to look her up and call.

The flop came {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. Khajavi wasted no time and led out for 4,000. The player in early position folded and Pfeifer decided to come along and see a turn.

The turn was the {8-Hearts}. Khajavi led out for 6,000 this time and Pfeifer quickly mucked his cards, sending the pot Khajavi's way.

Aaron Olshan Doesn't Believe

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

With about 1,600 in the pot, on a board reading {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}, Aaron Olshan led out for 1,200 and his opponent called on the button.

The river was the {8-Diamonds}. Olshan thought for a moment and checked. The button reached into his stack and fired out a bet of 4,000. Olshan looked back at his cards and went into the tank. After a minute or so, he tossed out a single chip to call. The button tabled {j-Spades}{8-Spades} for two pair, jacks and eights. Olshan wasted no time and showed a better two pair with {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and he raked in the pot.

Silvio Derubeis Goes to the River

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Action folded around to the cutoff who raised to 400. Silvio Derubeis was on the button and called, as did the big blind.

The flop came {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. The big blind led out for 625 and the cutoff folded. Derubeis thought for a moment and decided to call.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds}. The big blind led out again, this time for 825. Derubeis called for a second time.

The river was the {9-Diamonds}. The big blind went into the tank this time and eventually opted to check. Derubeis wasted no time and checked back. The big blind said, "Two pair" and tabled {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for two pair, nines and fives. Derubeis showed {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a flush and raked in the pot.
