Lady Luck Favors the Backbone as James Applies Pressure on Padma

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

The flop showed {5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, Jason James was faced with a bet from Arunkumar Padma when he opted to apply max pressure and move all in for more than enough to cover Padma.

Padma quickly called as turned over {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for top two, James tabled {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a flush draw and would need some help on the run out. The {3-Hearts} on the turned changed nothing and James would need a club to eliminate Padma.

A very fortuitous card landed on the river for James when the dealer flipped over the {j-Clubs}, giving him the flush and moving him well above the 400,000 mark as Day 1b is nearing the end.

Vance Triples as Johnson is eliminated

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The flop was showing {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} when Tim Vance moved all in for around 25,000, Charles Johnson moved all in over the top and Paul Bitterman hit the tank before making the call, putting both of his opponents at risk

Tim Vance: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}
Paul Bitterman: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Charles Johnson: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
