Almeida Sends Murray Out of the Tournament

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Alvaro De Almeida opened from the hijack, Norman Murray moved all in from the cutoff for around 20,000 and Almeida made the call, players turned over their hands with Murray at risk,

Alvaro De Almeida: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Norman Murray: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, Almeida now picked up a straight draw that Murray would need to dodge. Murray failed to dodge that draw, as the dealer flipped over the {10-Spades} on the turn.

The {6-Clubs} on the river changed nothing, Murray was eliminated and Almeida took down a nice pot.

Droege Reaches a Six Figure Stack

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The board was showing {7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} when Maximilan Droege was faced with an all in of around 28,000 from an opponent, with one person left to act behind him and the pot having already around 14,000 in it.

Droege thought for a brief moment before making the call, the player behind him folded and the two remaining runners turned over their hands. His opponent showed {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for top pair with top kicker, but would be almost drawing dead as Droege turned over his {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for a flopped set of nines.

The {6-Clubs} on the turn sealed the deal for Droege with his set of nines as he now sits above the six figure mark and will be looking to capture a Day 2 birth with his newly acquired chips.
