Don't Bluff Conron

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

On the turn of a {4-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades} board, David Conron bet 4,400 and his opponent called, bringing the {9-Clubs} on the river. Conron bet 6,000 and then called a raise to 14,000. His opponent said, "Nice call," tabling the {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Conron laid down the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for two pair to win the pot.

Hosbach Stays Alive

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

After the dinner break on Day 1a Scott Hosbach had more than 10% of the chips in play and a huge lead over the field. Just a couple levels later and Hosbach's seat was empty.

Hosbach was not off to a good start here on Day 1b falling to just 4,425. He got it all in preflop with {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} against an opponent's {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Although a {10-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} board got pretty scary along the way, Hosbach was able to fade and score a much needed double up.

Miller's Straight Best

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Andrew Miller bet 2,200 on the turn of a {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} board only to see his opponent raise to 5,000. Miller made the call to see the {7-Spades} on the river. Miller check-called a bet of 6,000 and his opponent tabled the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} for the bottom end of the straight. Miller turned over the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} making the top end of the straight and raked in the pot.
