Jacks for Jacques

Level 26 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Jacques Blit raised to 80,000 on the button with JJ and Samara Alexandre three-bet to 200,000 out of the big blind with AK. Blit just called and the dealer fanned the flop of Q109.

Alexandre checked after whiffing on the flop and Blit checked it back. The 3 landed on the turn and Alexandre led out with a bet of 175,000. Blit wasn't going anywhere with a pair and straight draw and the K completed the board.

Alexandre checked her top pair and Blit sized up a bet of 400,000. After burning through a time bank, Alexandre finally called and another pot was pushed towards Blit.

Blit Finds a Way to Get There

Level 25 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Jacques Blit limped in from the small blind with K3 and Erik Marasco checked his option holding J2. The flop fell J52 and both players checked to the 4 on the turn.

Blit checked again and Marasco finally made a bet of 50,000 with two pair. Blit turned his straight draw into a bluff with a raise to 155,000. Marasco just called and the A peeled off on the river.

Blit led out with a bet of 225,000 after making a straight and Marasco instantly threw his time banks into the middle. Marasco eventually made the call only to see the bad news as half of his stack disappeared.

Shuffle Up and Deal

The action has officially started at the final table in real time after a delay due to the payout structure. The entire payouts for the event have been adjusted due to a miscalculation in the conversion rate. Also, the clock has been reset to the beginning of level 25 for the final table with the blinds at 15,000/30,000 and a 30,000 big blind ante.

The lights are bright and the stage is set for the final table of the $770 Main Event at the first-ever SiGMA Poker Tour festival. Being held at the Monte Carlo Poker Club in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the final nine players are looking to capture some prestigious hardware and a nice payday to go along with it.

Leading the final table is Deddi Orpaz who accumulated a massive stack of 2,525,000 chips in search for his second career victory. Orpaz was the one who brought the field down to nine players after eliminating Daria Krashennikova on the final table bubble. Hailing from Israel, Orpaz is looking to follow in his son's footsteps and become a household name in the Israeli poker scene.

Things will not be easy for him with Samara Alexandre hot on his heels after catching a rush of cards late on day 2. Alexandre eliminated three players in succession with just two tables remaining en route to bagging up a stack of 1,810,000 chips. Alexandre spends most of her time on the felt in Brazil, outside of a trip to the WSOP in the summer of 2023.

The action will resume with around five minutes remaining in level 25 with the blinds at 15,000/30,000 and a 30,000 big blind ante. The cards are scheduled to go in the air at 4 p.m. local time but the PokerNews updates will be in sync with the live stream that will roughly be on a 45-minute delay.

The levels will continue to be 40 minutes in length throughout the event with a 15-minute break after every three levels. Each player has been guaranteed a payday of at least $4,800 but will have their eyes on the first-place prize of $63,000. The PokerNews live reporting team will be here to bring you all of the updates throughout the final table until a winner is crowned.
