Deuces Double Up
Level 18
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Carlos Torquato opened to 12,000 in early position and was called by Jacques Blit in the big blind. The flop came K♥9♥2♠ and it didn't take long for the players to get all of their chips in the middle with Torquato being at risk for 108,000.
Carlos Torquato: 2♥2♦
Jacques Blit: K♣J♣
Blit flopped top pair but it was no match for the set of deuces from Torquato. The 8♠ on the turn locked up the pot for Torquato, making the 8♥ on the river insignificant.
