A pot of 64,000 had developed by the river, on a board of 6♠5♣4♦K♦3♠, in a hand between Simon Forster on the button and Davide Iannaco in the big blind.
Iannaco check-called a bet of 32,000 from Forster, but promptly mucked when Forster tabled 7♥7♠ for the rivered one-card seven-high straight.
Around 60,000 was in the middle on a completed board of Q♦6♠4♠5♥J♥, and the dealer was counting out the sum Fredrik Eggen had to pay Angelo Vietti, after he had called Vietti's all-in of around 97,000 on the river.
Vietti had tabled Q♠J♣ for the rivered top two pair, much to Eggen's disgust, who had A♣A♦.

Emil Soreng was all-in for 10,000 and at risk against Fredrik Eggen.
Emil Soreng: A♥4♥
Fredrik Eggen: 7♣7♦
Soreng looked in trouble with only a single overcard, but he hit two pair on the A♦5♦4♠ flop, and improved to a full house on the A♠ turn, the 8♦ river completing the board.
A player limped under the gun, before Daniele Degennaro raised to 16,000 from early position. Sebastian Mortensen called in middle position, and the player under the gun folded.
On the 6♥6♠2♦ flop, Degennaro check-jammed to 45,000 in the face of a bet of 10,000 from Mortensen, who made the quick call with the covering stack.
Daniele Degennaro: K♠K♣
Sebastian Mortensen: Q♥Q♠
"I thought I was trapping, but its tough to do against kings", smiled Mortensen when he saw his opponent's holding.
The A♥4♠ runout brought no surprises and Degeannro scooped the double-up.
Day 1a obtained a total of 94 entrants, so play will conclude once the field has been whittled down to 14 players.
There are currently 34 players still seated, and players must bag for Day 2 to make the money.
Renzo Holling opened to 6,000 from early position, and was met with a three-bet to 15,500 from Andrii Trush in middle position. Action folded back to Holling, who called.
On the A♦Q♦7♦ flop, Holling check-raised to 50,000 in the face of a bet of 15,500 from Trush.
Almost as soon as Holling's raising chips were in the middle, Trush announced "All-in", and Holling snap-called in record time.
Andrii Trush: K♠K♦
Renzo Holling: A♣Q♠
Holling had top two pair versus Trush's pocket kings and nut diamond draw. However the 8♥9♥ runout was the wrong kind of red for Trush, and Holling scooped another big pot.

Around 40,000 was in the middle by the turn on a board of Q♥5♥2♣2♥, in a hand between Vladan Blagojevic under the gun, and Karl Gialanze on the button.
Blagojevic checked and Gialanze fired out a bet of 25,000. Blagojevic responded with a check-raise to 100,000, and Gialanze folded after some thought, flashing the Q♦.
Blagojevic smiled and showed the A♠, and raked in the pot.
Ferry Janssen opened to 5,000 under the gun, and received calls from Renzo Holling in the next seat and Angelo Vietti in the big blind.
The A♠J♥5♠ flop was checked to the 10♣ turn, where Vietti led out with a bet of 5,000. Only Janssen called.
The Q♦ hit on the river, bringing one-card straight possibilities, and Vietti quickly check-folded versus an all-in bet of 22,500 from Janssen.
