One of the short stacks in the field got their chips into the middle via three-bet shove with the 9♣8♣. Initial raiser Josh Liebenthal called with the A♣6♣ and remained ahead all the way on a 7♥7♠2♦4♣A♥ runout to reduce the field by one.

With the High Roller slowly winding down, some of those who bust enter the Main Event and one of them happened to be Huawei Sun. He just tangled in a pot with Kyle Krishnan who bet the river of a kinbg-high board for 5,000 out of the small blind. Sun raised to 20,000 and that did the trick to force out Krishnan.
Some 60 players out of 85 entries remain and the latter number may very well reach three digits until the end of the late registration period.

Thomas Bedford raised to 2,500 and received no fewer than three callers including Danny Dayani and Ricky Toker out of the blinds. They all checked the K♣Q♣7♥ flop and the 3♠ turn saw Bedford bet 4,000 when checked to. Only his table neighbour called and that brought a duo to the 3♦ river.
Bedford now bet another 7,000 and that won the pot without resistance.

In an already big pot to the 9♦8♥4♣8♣J♠ river, Theuns Prinsloo fired a bet of 25,000. Gideon Scheepers quickly called but couldn't beat the Q♥Q♠ of Prinsloo. He bemoaned to have had "so many outs but didn't hit" before joking he'd win the chips off other players only to lose it all to Prinsloo again.

Prebbre Reddy bet the A♦9♣7♠6♣ turn for 3,500 in the small blind for Damon Fine in the big blind and Sven Strommes on the button to call. Reddy bet another 6,500 on the K♣ river and Fine quickly folded. Strommes called and Reddy announced an ace, showing the A♥8♥.
"Straight," Strommes replied and turned over 8♠5♠.

Yoni Lipshitz returned from the break with a short stack and found a pair to go with it to get those chips in. His 7♥7♠ unfortunately had a rough timing, as Wouter Van Der Merwe instantly looked him up with the K♦K♣.
The mountain to climb got even bigger on a K♥Q♦6♦ flop and no running sevens came to the rescue.

According to the table chat, Moon Khan had previously doubled with an even shorter stack and just did so again when he was at risk with 7♠7♣ versus 3♦3♣ for the last 11,600. The board ran out J♦9♦6♦9♥A♠ and the superior pair dodged a flush draw to stay in contention.
Khan claimed he'd need one more double to get right back in it.
